A Successful Network Marketing Program is Like Making a Fine Wine
Network Marketing Program and Wine…. hmmm?
I have been struggling for some time with the idea of coming up with a unique way of explaining network marketing programs and concepts to people new to the industry. We have all heard one cliché after another when it comes to network marketing and it was important to me to come up with something special. Sometimes that “something special” is right under our noses and we just don’t pay attention. It turns out that living in the Napa Valley in not only wonderful because of the wine, climate and people but also because of the lessons that can be learned.
So, I decided to take a walk one day and give a network marketing program some serious thought. The best part about walking in Napa is that the weather is to die for and you can find a secluded place to collect your thoughts rather quickly. Normally I would just take my normal trek around the block a few times but since the harvest is coming up in the next few weeks, I though walking through my favorite Cabernet Vineyard sounded especially relaxing.
After walking for a while and stopping occasionally to look at the almost ripe clusters of grapes, I had an epiphany! A successful network marketing program is exactly like making a fine wine…. Let me explain.
I know what you are thinking… What does a Network Marketing Program have in common with grapes?
It all became clear when I was looking at the long rows of grapes that had been planted years ago and painstakingly cultivated to perfection so that every year they would be harvested in the pursuit of the perfect wine.
You see every cluster is a unit or a network marketing program made up of individual grapes that depend on each other for survival. If one grape becomes damaged or diseased, it can spread throughout the rest of the cluster and die. Also, there are rows and rows of grape vines with thousands upon thousands of clusters and if one cluster gets sick, it can be disastrous.
A successful network marketing program is nothing more than finding other like minded people and becoming a cluster that depends on each other so that everyone can thrive. Grapes grow in clusters for stability and strength and if taken care of properly will create the most wonderful substance on the planet. Are you starting to get the analogy?
Also, when grape vines are planted they are trained to grow a certain way to maximize the yield, protect it from the elements and to make harvesting easy. This is duplicated over and over again so that there is overwhelming strength in the number of the vines which makes some attrition tolerable.
As a matter of fact some grape clusters that become damaged or are not as closely bunched are pruned during the season so that they rest of the clusters can flourish. The same happens in every successful network marketing program. There will be fallout and people will quit but that in itself will make your whole network stronger because there won’t be any damaged clusters to infect the rest of the group.
A Network Marketing Program Is Like Making Wine
When you are putting together your network marketing program, make sure you find people that can be trained to duplicate the efforts of the leader. No matter what network marketing program that you are in, it has to be easy to duplicate. Wine makers do the same thing over and over and over again in the pursuit of the perfect wine. You should treat you network marketing program in exactly the same way. Train your downline to grow a certain way so that they maximize yield, protect themselves from the elements (Rejection) and ultimately reap the benefits of a harvest from their network marketing program that will happen year after year after year.
